Yes, I don't want to count any chickens since we need to beat Arizona, and that may be our biggest challenge for a while. But it is always nice when two teams ranked ahead of you go down. And A&M has to play South Carolina as their last regular season game, and so SC going down to Tennessee a few days ago earlier is doubly good for us.
But all of these rankings will get scrambled by league tournaments, that are going to introduce a lot of losses to the formulae.
Meanwhile, Oregon State is leading UCLA in the 2nd quarter and looking competitive. We will see if they can sustain it.

Also consider that Stanford has played 22 games and won 20. That is only matched by Louisville. That is a testament to how well our program is managed. We kept our players Covid healthy so we didn't have to cancel games, and we kept our schedule filled come hook or crook when other teams could not play us because of Covid. Hopefully, it will all pay off in the end with an undefeated run in San Antonio.

Oregon State leads UCLA 36-31 at the half. Would have been more except for a stupid foul as Onyenwere was taking a last second heave at the end of the half. She made three free throws. OSU will remember that if they lose by less than 3.

Osborne couldn't hit the broad side of a barn today; she was 3/19. UCLA as a whole is shooting 27%.

Charli is probably going ape-shi-t though. Though she seems to understand that she has a very young team. They’ll be much better next year.

Osborne was shooting 39% from 3 but only 38% overall - go figure. The only reason her scoring average is so high is because she takes lots (and lots) of shots

Me too, Bob. Three frosh and two sophs start, I think. One of the frosh is a very skilled big. I think her name is Daniels. Going to be really good. And, I'm happy for Charmin, a very nice person. It's been a verrrrry rough year.

If you're gonna lose, don't lose to a team that is 0-14. Good for Cal, but really . . . Cal sucks!
