WBB: NCST 58 LOUISVILLE 56 + UCONN vs. NOVA - martyup - 03-07-2021

This is the ACC tournament finals.  Big match up between two top 5 ranked teams.  Good preview of what we might be up against.
At noon #1 UCONN plays Villanova on FS1.
Both NCST and Louisville have aggressive male coaches that do a lot of red face yelling.  Such a contrast from the Pac-12, and especially Tara.

Honestly, I think one of the things I love about Tara so much is how much she keeps her damn mask on compared to other coaches. I often see Geno, Walz, or literally every other coach take off their mask so often that I just ask myself what's the point of wearing it in the first place.

Feels like NC State should get the 1 seed over South Carolina right now.

They probably should, but it's going to be interesting. Given the situation in the SEC. Do you drop TAMU to a 2 Seed or South Carolina for their loss to TAMU? Do you value the regular season title or the tournament title more? NC State did pick up bigger wins than South Carolina and owns a H2H win over South Carolina, yet was ranked behind them at the last reveal. Here's the last Top 16 reveal, and notable results since.

Whoa, UCONN is absolutely mopping the floor with Villanova. 45 (this is not a typo) point lead in the 4th quarter.

Totally agree. I wonder if these coaches bother to wear them at all when they are not going to be on TV.

Stanford continues to be the top-ranked team in the NET and now has six top-25 NET wins, tied for best in the country with South Carolina and Texas A&M. That results in UConn being pushed to No. 2 overall, and a win over Marquette in the Big East tournament title game on Monday won't be enough to change that."

That's pretty awesome.  Not that it matters much in the long run, but glad to see respect for what our team has done.
