On Sunday, Lindy La Rocque, UNLV's 1st year coach, was named coach of the year in the Mountain West conference. Her team finished 2nd in the WAC and opens play in their conference tournament today vs. Wyoming. Congratulations to Coach Lindy!

Speaking of Hear, Hear,
Was it in the Stanford-USC game that one of the announcers/voices mentioned Lindy La Rocque, and then had to ask whether she pronounced it correctly. Not yet a well-known name, but it did suggest the announcer wasn't paying attention to Stanford a decade ago. (I do appreciate her asking for a confirmation as that's the way to educate everyone, not just leave a mispronunciation to propagate.)
