It's gameday! Stanford men's BB has a chance to beat Cal for the third time this season. Since the advent of the conference tournament, the teams have played three games in a season only 3 times:
1989-90: Stanford 2 wins, 1 loss vs Cal
2017-18: 2-1
2019-20: 1-2
So, as this disappointing season nears its end, there's the potential for our men to make history--the good kind!

After a long season, all I want is two solid performances (a solid performance tonight should be a win; no guarantees tomorrow) to end things on an up note and let me forget about the last few games.
Is that too much to ask? We'll find out shortly.

We're 3-13, but 2-4 from 3. So many missed layups. Davis put up wildly off layups.
Now 4-16. WTH? Amazing we only trail by 5. Cal hasn't hit a 3 yet. That is helping.
I think the team plays better when O'Connell is on the court.

We're shooting very poorly, and the Weenies are beating us on the boards. Good thing they sux or this game could already be ugly (uglier?). We're within striking distance as long as we start hitting all the layups we're missing.

This is so hard to watch.
While most teams get better and better as the season progresses, it always seems like Stanford gets worse as the season moves along.
IMHO - If Stanford played Cal in November or early December Cal would have lost by 25 or more.
Stanford beat Cal by 15 in early February.
Fast forward ~5 weeks from that actual game in Berkeley, and it looks like Stanford will be rather lucky to win by even a point.
