OT: OSU- Loyola-Chicago -

One of the worst first half displays of basketball I’ve ever seen. If I’m Loyola Chicago’s coach I set my team down I look them right in the eye and I ask OK which one of you are not afraid to shoot the ball. Raise your hand right now because you might actually get to play. Otherwise sit your freaking ass on the bench and get comfortable. Either play like you aren’t scared or sit your butt down. Ridiculous.

Better play in second half. OSU continues one of the most unlikely runs I’ve seen. Good for them.

When was the last time a 12-loss team made the Elite Eight? I suspect it has been a while. Perhaps a very, very long while.

I guess God chose the Beavers today. Sorry Loyola, pray for next year.

Trying to think why that comment was either necessary or appropriate.

Wow, thanks for the info about Cuse. I guess March Madness has a way of delivering.

I'm trying to decide if I am pissed about the remark. At our football and basketball rallies we would end the day with a rendition of the Memoriare ("Remember O most gracious Virgin Mother.......) and at the mound before first pitch the infield would recite Hail Holy Queen. Maybe some thought that the Intercession Of Mary would help but I don't think God cares who wins.
So I'm not pissed but the remark was out of place.

I have my reasons, and they are not pro or anti religion. I will PM them to you Lex. No need to start some sort of religious debate here.

Thanks Marty, and thanks for the thoughtful PM. I responded.
