Interesting article although it seems to me that there was much editing.

Thanks for sharing! I can imagine it was tough to stitch together a piece meant to be entirely in Tara's voice, but I think her matter-of-fact speaking style comes through and is in a way quite effective—and I obviously love what she has to say. It's easy to root for this team because they are such good people in addition to being great athletes.

My only objection was to the editorializing ESPN did in the intro. "She doesn't have Geno Auriemma's charm or Kim Mulkey's wardrobe"? Oh, please! Two extra reasons for us Stanford fans to thank our lucky stars.

Geno's charm?  OMG.

Not having Mulkey's wardrobe is high praise.

Tara's wardrobe is a statement about who she is , and it's a good one. Mulky's is also a statement, and it's not a positive one. It's appalling. As For Geno's charm, well that's a matter of opinion, I guess, but I don't find him at all so. But the article, and what Tara has to say -- I really liked it. And I love the 8 year old saying "sexism." Yep, it's still there, but we have made a lot of progress, and that's very much a part of Tara's journey.

Very touching, very heart warming article. Now go out there and finish the season with a win!
