So what happened in those 2017 games using the Elam Ending?  I'm on pins and needles

I love it.  It would be much more exciting.

The Elam Ending was used in the NBA All Star game this year.

This is what was used in the NBA All-Star games (4th quarter) the last 2 years right?

Didn't work so well this year because the game was too lopsided (~20pt deficit entering the 4th), but I read that it was quite well received last year (~10pt deficit entering the 4th)

But I liked the way the traditional ending worked out for us in the Stanford-Rhode Island MBB NCAA regional final in 1998

I would add to the rule that the game would be over at the end of the timed portion if one team had a big lead, say 15 points or more.  This rule would eliminate overtime entirely.
