Too bad the trophy emoji's show up as "?". Oh well.
45 consecutive years... and counting.

I'm gonna risk spamming my table in this thread, too.
Here's a look at the glorious 45-year streak that has brought Stanford to 127.
11 of those years were single-championship years. The sports that kept the streak going during those 11 years were:
Women's Tennis, 5 times
Men's Tennis, 2 times
Men's Water Polo
Men's Swimming & Diving
Women's Cross Country
Women's Water Polo

That is great work, Canelejas.
I'm glad we got this one to extend the streak. Some of our usual title contenders aren't good candidates this year, so we needed to take advantage of this opportunity.

Seeing the table, with so many different teams winning and so many years with only one, really brings home how extraordinary the streak is.

And with most D1 schools getting blanked in 2019-2020 it will take most D1 schools 45 more years with exceptional luck just to reach Stanford's current streak.

Plus it really helps that we took 3 of the only 8 championships decided in 2019-20. The other winners were Arkansas, BYU, North Carolina, Georgetown, and North Dakota State.
Of those, these have multi-year streaks going:
Arkansas extended their streak to 3 years by winning this year's women's indoor track & field title.
BYU extended their streak to 2 years by winning this year's women's cross country title.
North Dakota State is on a 3 year streak heading into this year.
North Carolina is on a 2 year streak heading into this year.

As long as we keep winning titles, no one will be able to catch us.

I'm sure UCLA fans thought that. Just enjoy it while it is.

I meant the 45-year streak. As long as we win at least one championship each year, nobody will be able to catch us.

The claim to the longest streak will last at least 42 years, for many (most?) fans on this board it is rather unlikely they will live to see 42 years even if Stanford's run stops this year.
Put it this way, I HOPE to live to see the day that someone has a streak longer than Stanford's current run of 45 years.
Stanford at #1 in NCAA team titles could easily end since USC OR UCLA could move back up to #1 if they became THE force in WWP, MWP, and Beach Volleyball rather than split them.

Speak for yourself; I'd rather be alive for Stanford hitting the 87th consecutive year with a national title than to see some team catch up to us.

At 12:30 am Pac 12 is running interviews with players outside the locker room. It's been on for quite awhile. Imagine they will repeat in the mornin Its running during a listed OSU softball game.

The NCAA shows a promo for NCAA Championships with scenes of (recent) national championships.
"If a champion can teach us anything, it is to stay hungry..."
(37 minutes into the Stanford-AZ WBB NC game, at least on SLING).
It has bothered me that they show only one Stanford team, when Stanford has won so many recent championships. So I took the time to figure out who they were showing. All are from 2018-2019 school year. They are NCAA Div I champions if not marked otherwise. It turns out that many of them were not champions. For some reason, they loaded up on softball.
WBB - Notre Dame
MBB - Virginia
Outdoor WT&F - USC (runner-up)
SB - UCSD (D-II NCAA super regional champ) Note "Trittons"[sic] on uniform!
WVB - Stanford
MBB - Texas Tech (runner-up)
WGYM - LSU (2nd in a semifinal)
SB - Washington (WCWS)
SB - UCLA (WCWS)
spectator - Michigan
FB - UW-Whitewater (D-III FB runner-up)
MLAX - Yale (runner-up)
spectators -
SB - Minnesota (WCWS)
some coach?? -
spectators (baseball or softball?)
WLAX - Maryland
BVB - UCLA
WLAX - Maryland
MBB - Virginia
By the way, before this school year, Stanford lead in
NCAA individual champions with 524. USC second with 419.

2019 Women's basketball champion was Baylor; Notre Dame was the runner up.

I wonder how the loss of 11 sports will affect Stanford's performance in the Director's Cup.
RE: 127 -

Men's vball might be the biggest DC hit. Because only the top 10 highest-scoring sports from each of the men's side and women's side are chosen for scoring, a sport would have to perform fairly well to score higher than the other Stanford sports in contention for scoring inclusion.
Many of the cut sports were not NCAA sports, so they would never have counted toward DC points.

IIRC, they changed the scoring a few years ago and no longer segregate and separately tally points for men's and women's and instead it's just the top 15 scores in any sports plus the four required sports (Baseball, Men's and Women's Basketball, and WVB). To the degree a sport like MVB would count, it would be finishing among the top 3, given how quickly points trail off for lower finishes in that sport.

Of the cut sports, I think fencing, field hockey, men's volleyball, and wrestling were the ones eligible to contribute to the Directors' Cup standings. The others aren't NCAA sports, and FBS football appears to be the only non-NCAA administered championship that's part of the D1 Directors' Cup competition.
