A one-off ticket question - Stanford v. KSU -
oman - 06-06-2021
I've personally attended two Stanford football games at Texas, one at TCU, and two bowl games since I graduated when shoulder pads were much larger. So I'm not a regular ticket buyer. I am trying to collect a small number of folks to go to the Arlington game from the old freshman dorm, but not sure of the number right now. My thoughts are that even though the Buck Club wants reservations by June 10, this is Stanford v. KSU -- I'm not going to need reservations.
So my thinking is that it makes sense for me to figure out exactly who is going (it will be less than 10) and then get them between now and kickoff. Please let me know if I am seriously misguided in my approach.
I don't care where in that silly stadium I end up in, nor do the couple of friends who already are in.

That's the approach I would take. I wouldn't look into purchasing tickets until I knew the exact amount needed. It's highly probable that there will be available tickets up to game day as I don't think it will be close to a sell out.
Of course, it also depends on what capacity of the stadium's full capacity will be allowed to enter.

It's Texas. For sure 100%

I think what he's getting at is they may not sell the upper decks.

Another approach would be to buy the block of seats you want so you all sit together, and if some people can't make it, sell the extras on StubHub. You will likely take a bit of a loss if there are extras, but this way you get the seats you want.
