WBB: Double Round-Robin is Back(ish)! -

I guess this means fewer OOC games?

But, still, when you have the top conference in the country...

Great news! I much prefer a balanced schedule.

Interesting, we play the LA schools on the road and not at home, and we get the Arizona schools at home and not on the road.

I read it as 75 does, Not balanced although not playing at Arizona is fine.
As for the following year how is that balanced, 20 League games not 22.
But I/m ready for Vegas.

That's the danger of reading the headline and not the article. A true double round robin schedule requires 22 games (playing each of the other 11 teams twice). So, it's a step towards double round-robin, and a
less unbalanced schedule, but we can't really say that it's "back".

It's a move in the right direction, but I really wish they had gone all the way to a full round robin. Still, that would mean 4 fewer out of conference games and that would be a loss potentially, depending on who the Card is able to schedule. Next year, back to 18 -- sorry about that, also sorry to see that the 4 teams we play only once are the LAs and Arizonas. It doesn't do our national standing a lot of good to play the Mountain schools and Washingtons twice. But at least we have the Oregons twice -- and for me, that's a hurrah because it means I can go back to my formerly annual Oregon road trip for the games.

Honestly, they should either move to a 22-game double round-robin, or break it up into two divisions (with 16 division games: double round-robin within a division against the 5 other teams and single round robin against the 6 teams in the opposite division). Then you set up the tournament as follows: within each division, 3rd place team plays the 6th place team; 4th place team plays the 5th place team. Then you have the 1st place team play the 4/5 winner from the other division, and the second place team play the 3/6 winner.

I like this idea -- much better than the almost, but not quite, full round-robin they have agreed to

I liked the double round robin the PX had in basketball. When the MBB team, along with the Weenie men, were in the Arizonas, the Zona and ASU women were in the Bay area...and so on and so on.
They were able to schedule 2 sports at once.

I also like to see different teams playing Stanford
This year we know at South Carolina and Tennessee and home vs Texas. We heard about a tournament also but unknown
So 22 league games means two less non league.
Also are we playing a couple of league games in November and December like the men
