St. Brown and Pakola - Hank 91 - 07-24-2021

Any theories on what might be going on with Josh Pakola and Osiris St. Brown?

RE: St. Brown and Pakola - BobK - 07-24-2021

I thought St Brown retired

RE: St. Brown and Pakola - Phogge - 07-24-2021

Does St. Brown now get a pension or SS with the new rules?

RE: St. Brown and Pakola - SamuelMcF - 07-25-2021

St. Brown retired. Pakola came back out of the transfer portal and there is (or at least at one point, was) optimism about his return.

Most may not have noticed, but Tobe Umerah is now off the most recent roster. Not sure if a mistake. I know he had a major surgery during the Covid season, but I believe he was pictured in some recent team workout videos.

Umeroh had a ton of pass rushing promise.

Aristotle is going to fill that void.

Sounds logical.

I'm assuming none of these guys will be on the roster in the Fall, which is a bummer.  St. Brown and Umerah each suffered a significant injury.  Pakola was in the portal but then chose not to transfer.  Maybe just giving up football and content to get the Stanford degree?  I don't see any public info on him.

St. Brown announced on Instagram that he had graduated (first in his family to graduate from college) and is moving on.

There is no public info because his situation is ongoing. Scholarship players who have not received their degrees don't "give up football."

Congrats to St. Brown.  His on field career was probably not what we had hoped for, but that happens.  Glad he got his degree.

I assume his bro, Equanimeous, did not graduate from ND. No surprise. Great name, though.

I believe you're right and he has not, although his tweeted "farewell letter" when he declared did pretty emphatically state he intended to finish his degree. (Though that was, of course, 3 years ago.)
