Media Day Report - Hank 91 - 07-28-2021

Here's my first piece, which gives an overview of the event as well as some in depth stuff from Thomas Booker -- stuff about the defense and a little bit about his game-saving block in Big Game. I'll post another piece that focuses on Shaw, hopefully tomorrow.

Great stuff, Hank. Thanks alot, Hope he's right about JMF and Miezan. We heard similar last year and it all went up in smoke. Interesting re Higgins straight line speed. I hadn't noticed, but thought him an excellent possession receiver. Agree re running back position.

What about the situation at QB?
Wilson gushed about the O-Line... OK.
Who is going to be dishing the ball !!?
Does McKee get the start?
How many snaps a game for Patu to mix it up?

RE: Media Day Report - Phogge - 08-03-2021

Are there actually guys named Miezan and JMF or are they Stanford's version of dead girlfriends?

Thinking they're just Stanford's version of the Samuel L. Jackson character in Unbreakable.  What we need is the Bruce Willis character.

OL should be good this year and downright nasty next year with every starter returning.

Yes.

Zero. The "mix it up" QB will be Isaiah Sanders with some wildcat/option looks (recall he had a few short conversions and 2 goal line TDs vs UCLA last season), and West will be QB2. Patu will RS.

I'm from Missouri when it comes to the OL this year. When breaking in a new center, you cannot really predict how quickly the line will jell. Are we assuming that Nugent will start over Metcalf based on one additional year of experience?

We are assuming that Nugent will start because Shaw said so during the spring.

Nugent has a Stranglehold on the position...
