There is a whole host of allegations against the football program, including that they hosted a ton of recruits on campus during the NCAA-mandated dead period.

The NCAA has as many teeth as a hen. It's Lord of the Flies in college sports recruiting now. I don't necessarily like it, Just accept it as a reality and have zero expectations of any enforcement or anyone following the rules.

Ask an aside, I remember when Chris Hawkins chose USC over Stanford as a recruit. Can't believe it was 8 years ago already.
