Didn't exactly cover itself in glory in the opening week. The only team to win was Oregon, and they trailed Fresno State at home in the 4th quarter!
But I think it's fair to say the most unhappy fan base this morning is either Cal, Stanford, or Washington. Which one has more angst after taking the pipe on Saturday? At least Stanford lost to a Power 5 team, but they looked like trash.

Agree. I am from Seattle and have many friends there. Right now, the sound of wailing and gnashing of teeth can be heard in all corners of Huskydom.

Washington, Cal, and Washington St. all had worse losses than Stanford, for what little that’s worth.

Cal fans aren't taking the Nevada loss very well. They are calling for Wilcox's head.
So given Cal, Stanford, and Washington fans are all clamoring for a new Head Football Coach, would Stanford fans take Justin Wilcox or Jimmy Lake over David Shaw?
I'm quite certain Cal and UW fans want no part of Shaw.

No doubt that Washington fans should be most disturbed.
More broadly, across the the Conference, the Pac-12 suffered losses to Nevada, Purdue, K-State, Utah State, BYU, and Montana. Conference teams won games over Southern Utah, Northern Colorado, Fresno State, San Jose State, Weber State, and LSU.
That makes 6-6, with a few lightweights among the wins, and an FCS and two G5 teams among the losses.
But most people around the country will only notice that a Pac-12 team finally beat a blue blood SEC team. Such is the subjective world of college football. I liked the rankings better when the computers were directly involved.

Stanford's fans, in the main, don't do "upset." To a lesser extent, same is true for California, particularly after years and years of underachieving. Stanford's been to 11 bowls in the last 12 seasons, including three Rose Bowls, a Fiesta Bowl and an Orange Bowl. Cal has-beens to three bowls in the last 10 years...the Cheez-It bowl, the Redbox bowl and the Armed Forces bowl. A five point loss to Nevada is not that much to get disappointed about.
The Huskies have been to ten straight bowls. The only seasons in the last 45 years (not including 2020) that Washington was terrible were with a former Stanford coach (Willingham) and a former Cal coach (Gilbertson). Between those six seasons were four last place finishes, one second to last place finish and a 5th place Pac 10 finish. Between Don James, Rick Neuheisel, Jim Lambright, Steve Sarkisian and Chris Petersen the Huskies went to bowl games in 31 of 39 seasons. There were eight Rose Bowls, an Orange Bowl, and a Fiesta Bowl during those seasons.
It's Washington's fans that are crazy about their early performance.

Who should feel the worst about their win/loss (in order):
Washington
California
Washington State
Oregon
Stanford
Arizona State
All others have no reason to be miserable…
Of course, the annual Week 1 overreaction is definitely in play. Week 2 will tell us more about this year’s direction of the conference.

Texas A&M v. Colorado
California v. TCU
San Diego St. v. Arizona
Utah v. BYU
Stanford v. USC
Oregon State v. Hawaii
Arizona State v. UNLV
Washington State v. Portland State

The conference will probably be underdogs in all four out-of-conference P5 match-ups and favorites in all four G5 games. The conference needs to win a couple of the P5 games and all four G5 games to avoid more misery. Otherwise, the league will be in for a long season……..
