How will the vaunted "40-year Decision" fare in the NIL era? - gailtate - 09-11-2021

1. Mario Cristobal looks, sounds and feels like the new Pete Carroll.
2. Eugene/UO is quickly morphing into the new L.A. /USC).
3. The NIL world is, essentially, the world of NIKE. (AKA, Phil Knight's Swoosh).
4. Anybody else notice how quick, strong and conditioned Ducks are on both sides of scrimmage? Verdell looks like freakin' body builder.
5. Oregon's recruiting machine hasn't even fully kicked-in yet.

The "Oregon Problem" famously lamented by Andrew Luck may not be wholly intractable but it sure feels like it.

In the NIL era, Sleazy Pete would do great.

I expect NIL will make the rich richer because their brands carry value and players can leverage them in their promotional ventures, and that will draw better recruits.
