Today's UO v. Stanford attendance - Mick - 10-02-2021

What do you think today's attendance will be?  12:30 start time, home game, students are back, great weather.

35,000, I'm guessing.

It will be more than 10,000; that’s for sure.  I think you meant a “<“.

14 minutes to kickoff and Duck fans outnumber Card fans 23-19 in Section 134 (a STH section)

Oh, and there must be at least seven…
…ty students in the student section. :-0

Row P… just behind a bunch of Duck fans… and next to another bunch of Duck fans.

But they all left pretty quickly after the game :-)

Yes, fortunately, as it turned out.  Must be a lot of students from LA area (late arriving crowd and all that…)

It was VERY loud on Oregon's last possession courtesy of the students.

Speaking of which, does anybody know why the officials first indicated OT would at the north end of the stadium - but then switched to the south?  My wife swears that the Stanford captains pointed to the north, but we couldn't imagine why.  Some ambiguity in what they said (and pointed)?  I would assume once the captains have made a decision, the coach can't change it.

There was an infestation of dux in section 216. I'm so glad we gave them very little to cheer about.

I was also confused on who won the club toss. I thought we win it, choose to have the ball first, and the Dux opted to play on the side near their fans. I was surprised we played near the Stanford student section.

Oregon won the toss and said they would take defense. The referee then confused things by asking Stanford if they accepted going on offense.

Coin flipping ref blew it big time, giving OR all the options.

Ref: OR you won the flip, do you want to start on D or O?
OR: D
Ref: stanford do you want the ball?
S: yes
Ref: OR which way do you want to go?
OR: player point to north end zone.

so they sold 47,238 tickets for the UCLA game and 31,620 tickets for the Oregon game so the season ticket total is <31,620, I guess we'll get a good idea of hw many season tickets were sold when they announce the attendance for the Friday night Utah game...

I assume they still count tickets as sold when they are donated back (maybe they count them twice if they then sell them again)...
