That sucks that we aren't likely to get either Wilson or Humphreys back. I would rather have one of those two back more than Smith, Fisk and Sinclair combined. We are very shorthanded at WR. There is a big gap between those two and next two up like Starr and Raines.

Maybe Smith lines up at slot?
Agree that what we're in most desperate need of receivers

Filkins is out too apparetnly. Not sure why these reports are so incomplete.

I see no mention of Hinton on the injured list which is good. The pass protection collapsed when he went out at the end of the WSU game. But Troy Clardy also noted this comment from Shaw - "o-line jumbled during WSU (Hornibrook at RG, Bragg out to RT), could see it again." What does that mean?
Here is a full list of the injury report from Clardy.

D could use Fisk; and I'm thinking Sinclair, as well.
Really would like to see Wilson in game action from here on out, but that's a dubious ask.
Filkins is a loss, too, imo. That guy is good and going to be very good.

I was also most worried about Hinton, in terms of what a player's loss might mean for the game(s) ahead.
Intrigued to see how many touches Smith might get. He made one move in the Vandy game that really impressed me.
The defense obviously needs all the help it can get, and Fisk helps, for sure. I didn't realize Sinclair was hurt, so hopefully he can go, as well.
Fully expect a nailbiter against Washington.

Fisk is second on the team in sacks. D-line was desperately thinking before he got injured.

TOS noted that at one tackle spot the depth chart is listed as Hinton OR Bragg (first time this season).
Hmmmm . . .

depth chart posted here, RT says Hinton or Bragg (Bragg listed first at RG)
Wilson, Williams, and Sinclair are on the depth chart even if they are questionable
Filkins not on the depth chart

John Ford's advice to The Duke, "Don't act, react."
Yeah Fisk is second in sacks... with two. What a pathetic defense. In the distant past (well in 2010 I think) Stanford led the nation.

In 2010, Stanford was #12 nationally in sacks.
They led the country in both 2012 and 2013.
Were pretty good as recently as 2018 at #23.
Currently at #91 (multi-way tie).

Having Fisk back to play on the DL is a big deal. We are paper thin there when everybody is available, let alone when somebody is out.

Oddly enough, we are in the middle of the Pac (tied with OSU for 7th) in sacks, and our D-line does not get the benefit of playing against our offensive line.

We also don't blitz often.

Lance hardly ever blitzes much to the chagrin of a number of ex-players that I often speak to. When Shaw retires in 25 or 30 years I hope the new coach hires a DC willing to attack.

Next year the line will be desperately inexperienced. Depth will be no worse, but it will be all freshmen and sophomores.
