Other Games this Weekend - Austroturf - 11-20-2021
Michigan State looks completely outclassed in the first couple series vs. Ohio State. The Buckeyes just marched down the field to score on their opening drive, then just snuffed the Spartan offense on the following series. MSU's passing defense is statistically the worst in FBS football; and Ohio State looks primed to carve them up early and often. On the other side of the ball, the Buckeye defense looks monstrous vs. MSU and is getting consistent pressure on Thorne. Walker was stuffed on his first run attempt. 7-0 Buckeyes.

West Virginia up early over Texas. How long does Sark have? Next stop an eight man football OC at Tomales HS?
Don’t know how serious Stanford’s recruitment of Shipley (Clemson) was but he can play. Hurt on a kickoff return just now.
The West Virginia kicker’s last name is Legg.

Playing at the Horseshoe without Thibodeaux and Flowe too.
Having said that, Ohio State demoted their DC and stated playing at a different level, not to mention Stroud's command of the offense has kept rising as well. It would surely be a different result now.

Stroud with 29/31 for 393. Dick Norman numbers but Stroud did it in a half. Six TD’s which is three or four games for Stanford.
They have a complete 400 meter relay team of wideouts.

FWIW, we got the Bronze medal on that one.
My impression was that NC State was the other contender, but if Stanford indeed got the bronze it was a distant one because it was a two horse race for the most part.

I can see the moral victory in sight, as Stanford trails ND 38-0 at half next week. "At least we didn't trail at half by as much as GT did."

Cincinnati is making a statement against a very good SMU team. Now 48-0 with 11:00 minutes to play in the 4th.

Washington got the ball back with two minutes left, trailing 17-20. Morris threw four incomplete passes to seal the defeat.
Bruins up 35-17 early in the 2nd half. Trojan defense cannot stop DTR and Charbonnet.

The announcer said going into the game Texas had lost 5 games in a row; a record going back to 1956. They lost to West Virginia so if my math is correct that's 6 losing games in a row.
Their last chance to turn the season around is next Friday against Kansas State.

In that Oregon game, Oregon has one delay of game and just had to take its second time out to avoid a DoG.
