anyone else get the football STM survey -

I got mine in email yesterday. I completed it and my basic message was that the biggest problem for the team currently is on-field performance which was an answer to several questions. In some of them you could pick more than one item, I choose to just select on-field performance

I basically gave them the same message on my survey.

I pretty much said the same thing as well, but I also added that the PA system especially music vs band needs to be fixed and the band just sucks.

Yup, I filled out those surveys for years, dutifully. During the latter part of my 48 seasons of ST membership, I would say the same things. Each time, in the ensuing season those things on which I opined only grew worse. Those elements of "stadium experience" became even more obnoxious. So, I stopped with the opinions. It became clear to me that my presence was essentially irrelevant to The Program. Today, the feeling is mutual -- and it looks like my timing was perfect. "Let's Go,
Brandon Bernard!"

I don't fill out the surveys because I have become convinced that nobody actually reads them. They are an exercise to justify more drones going through the motions. Since nobody outside the department sees them, the survey results can be used to justify any desired set of actions. It is a well-known fact that the main fan complaints revolve around game scheduling, but since they (allegedly) can't actually do anything about that problem they resort to surveys. These surveys are an attempt to give us fans the appearance that somebody actually cares what we think when in reality nobody does.

I filled it out. One year I said the food options should be expanded and maybe enough people did that, because the next season it was better. Besides team performance, I suggested (now that they've started serving beer and wine to club members) they could extend it for all STH. That would do more than most other non-football improvements to increase attendance. Since I got beer at Notre Dame, I've thought their tax-free status excuse is BS.
