Congratulations to Thomas Booker! Only one invitee is what you'd expect from a team that finished in last place 2 of the past 3 years. What's impressive to me is that 10-win Utah is only sending 2 to the combine. That tells me that the Utes have (1) a lot of returning talent (a scary thought) and (2) some really good coaching (duh).

Cal and Arizona have none.
I suspect the reason is the programs are devoid of talent and up and coming respectively.

Pretty sure Kyu Blu Kelly would be getting an invite were he to have declared himself eligible for the draft. Probably Brycen Tremayne as well.

Stanford's nosedive in talent today is the echo of recruiting inattention when things were changing. What Shaw was thinking about at the time, or distracted by, is anybody's guess. Whatever, dude was AWOL. Big-ass mountain to climb now, however.

Booker needs to do a lot better at the Combine then he did at Stanford in 2021.

He was double-teamed, I shit you not, EVERY play that we did not blitz. Because the rest of the D-line was horrible.
Not that he was necessarily good, but that makes it way harder to look good. He was a good (not great) player surrounded by crap.

Exactly! And there were a lot of crappy defenders out there for Stanford last season. The talk that Lance Anderson's coaching was the problem is nonsense.
Stanford's woes the past three seasons can be mostly attributed to a big drop off in talent on both sides of the ball.

Note that he said "coaching," not "recruiting." But FWIW, I think it's both (with a heavier lean towards recruiting duds).
