That's to be expected when your blatantly-cheating coach finally gets the axe. Checks bounced, and so did the players.

Arizona lost 7 to the portal when Sean Miller left. The last-minute international guys and transfers they recruited to replace these losses stayed together and turned out pretty damn good this year. (I fear for Haase's eventual replacement on the reloading front...)

In theory the damage might be lower, given the “40 year” thing, but I believe that pull may be waning.  And, as you imply, the ability to recruit transfers in has not waxed symmetrically.

BC
