Thanks to COVID, Stringer didn’t get the valedictory moment that she deserved. I hope that becomes possible at some point next season. She was of the last remaining coaches from the first golden age of women’s college basketball.
This is a reminder to me as a Stanford WBB fan not to take any moments for granted.

Nice to see that they are planning a big do in next season, at which they'll name the court after her. It's only appropriate for a HOF coach <cough, cough>

Stringer is 74, Tara is 68. Hopefully Tara will keep coaching another 6 years. We can only hope.

After all she has done for Stanford, Tara deserves to (and almost certainly will) retire on her own terms. If it is next year, I will celebrate her; if she wants to coach another 20 years, God bless her.

The way I like to see it, Tara coaches for a few more years, then transfers the rein to Kate PAYE who is more than ready to take over.
But I also wish she waits for Geno to retire first, so she can hang on to the most wins career record...
