COVID in athletes - BostonCard - 05-13-2022

Very good news from this paper, looking at several thousand collegiate athletes who contracted COVID.

https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/abs/10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.121.058272

Out of 3675 athletes who had COVID and were followed for a year, 21 of them (0.6%) had evidence of myocarditis, but all 21 recovered and were able to resume athletic activities.

Did they control for variant?  I haven't read the paper yet, I need to get up early tomorrow...

Anyway, I hope the conclusion proves true for Stanford rowers.  All three teams (men, women, lightweight women) were unable to race last weekend due to covid protocols, and the men and women have Pac-12s today.
