Really student-athlete centric to have them play 12 regular season games, a conference championship, and up to four playoff games.
That’s as many games as some pros play.

They played 13 as recently as 2018 and 14 as recently as 2017.

It's changed so Stanford may never have the kind of run they had from 2010-2015.
It hasn't changed so much that Stanford will never get to a bowl game again.
All it takes these days is six wins.

I think their choice was expand or disband. Cause the SEC and Big 16 (and growing) were likely to withdraw and do their own playoff.

College Football is a Ponzi Scheme, it has been for a while, the final step will be paying the players directly above the table, once that happens who is in and who is out will start to come into focus.

I am in total agreement with you on all points and I will be watching maybe a bit more this weekend since it is too hot to take my Labrador Retriever out for some field working and training (me is the one needing the training he needs the work due to being bored).
