Yaz traded for a sixteenth round Pirate pick who has a high walk rate. Pirate hitting coach takes Yaz to an optometrist who prescribes glasses and Yaz wins a Silver Slugger.

Wonder if Judge’s bad post season and fan reaction leads him to FA market?  If I’m Yankees I’m thinking maybe I spend that money on a couple of pitchers and Trea Turner.

Astros in WS for 4th time in 6 years.  For all the Dodger talk, Houston has been the more successful team last 5 years.  7-0 in playoffs. Now it’s time for Dusty to get that illusion ring.

Bob Melvin is going to be thinking about his decision to not bring Hader in to face Harper for a long time.  Sure, Hader would have had to get 6 outs.  But he’d only gone 1 inning the entire series (struck out the side)  Had to go with your best there against an elite hitter. Lefty on lefty to boot.  Hader had been lights out in post season.  Who knows what would have happened. But that was the move he had to make.

In an article this morning, The Athletic’s Jim Bowden predicted Carlos Correa will sign with SF (after stating that Judge and the Yanks will come to an agreement).  The contract value - 10 years, $345 million.  The link that connects Correa and the Giants is the new SF GM, Pete Putila, formerly the Astros Asst. GM.
