Sac State 8-0 - Phogge - 10-31-2022

Third in the FCS rankings. Will Troy Taylor still be on the sidelines in Paly next year?

Would love to see it. Frankly, would love to see anyone new and different.

Troy Taylor has three opportunities to be on the sidelines of Stanford Stadium next year: as Sacramento State's coach, as Cal's coach, or as Stanford's coach. I'd say extremely high likelihood he is on the sidelines in Paly next year.

I envy the energy (and the product). Hornet Stadium seats 21,000+. It's SRO pretty much all the time. The place rocks. The local community is ecstatic and alumni are all over the place. Great environment, great program, great story. Taylor is the perfect fit. In Sacramento. FCS athletes want to play for him. Can't blame them.

We play Sac State next year? I'd imagine they will come to Palo Alto as the favorites.

Hopefully we'll be able to beat the Rainbow Warriors a couple of weeks earlier. . . .

Squeri didn't fall for the joke. There is a web site dealing with future schedules.

The ideal sked for Stanford in 2030 is Whittier, Pomona, Cal Poly Pomona, Claremont Mudd, Laverne, Pacific Union and Cal Baptist. May have a chance to go 3-4. Not much of a travel budget especially if they go minor league bus style.

Yes, let's hope so for Coach's sake.

My distaff side of the family is comprised of Old Blues. I guess my daughter is a young(er) Blue even though she went to schools where football is not played. I've met a bunch of Cal players over the years. Favorites were Troy Taylor, Mike Pawlawski, Joe Igber who went into civil engineering - must have been on my advice :), Sean Dawkins, and a giant lineman whose name escapes me but was so cool with my infant daughter at one of the fan fests it almost brought me to tears. We found the picture cleaning out my mother-in-law's house.
