NFL “star”? That’s a bit much.
But if half the stuff in the NYP article is true (always a question when lawsuit allegations are involved) he’s got a strong case and that is one screwed up Company.

A “metaverse” company… regardless of the specific allegations in the lawsuit, the priors that it is a messed up company are pretty high.

Here's a TechCrunch article with more detail including news that the company's former HR Director (!!) joins Teyo in the suit and allegations. That does not sound good and suggests the allegations may be well documented. Both were terminated before filing their lawsuit so there is that.
