Really good background and insights.
I didn't know she was so close to Curtis and Susan Borchardt.

What a very nice article. We are lucky for her to be a part of our program. What a nice family.

I think what is most remarkable is Cam's willingness to discuss her uncertainties and other mental and emotional obstacles. That takes a lot of courage and self-confidence, and I applaud her greatly for that. I'm gonna be a fan of hers for a long, long time.

Just Women's Sports has been doing some good features as of late. I don't know if it's been mentioned on this board before but JWS was founded by former Stanford (and NWSL) soccer star Haley Rosen, who is still in her 20s. JWS had raised over $10M as of last summer and has many prominent investors, including Billie Jean King, Allyson Felix, Abby Wambach, Sam Kerr, Lynn Williams, Apolo Ohno, Kelley O’Hara and Sam Mewis. When you talk about committing to Stanford being a 40 year decision, Haley's a pretty good example.

Cameron has been a pleasure to watch as a player and as a person. I’ve noticed the way she interacts with Tara. I’ve noticed others' reactions to Tara, some seem intimidated, some seemed dismissive, many seem in awe. With Cam it’s been an expression of humility, a genuine openness to instruction. They seem to have a mutual respect for each other that shows during game time and re-emerges at the press conferences.
I have nothing but respect and admiration for this young student-athlete-human being.
Thanks for sharing the article qwerty, it really serves to humanize the player!
