Just amazing to me how many ‘comp’ selections the 49ers have accumulated, six of their nine selections. They might as well get rid of all their draft picks except #1-#3, if they’re going to get this haul of comp selections, and a few in trade. They only have two original selections remaining:

They have had a lot of success in the most important rounds of the draft (3-6). They have taken full advantage of the ethnic minority promotion rewards. They have made smart trades during the season that have sent picks out and brought them back in. They have accumulated so many picks that they can now trade up to get a player they really like at a position of need.
There is no way the Niners are drafting 11 players in the next draft. They absolutely will trade some of those picks, even if it means trading them for picks in the 2024 draft. They will not be trading into the first round, but could probably trade into the 2nd if they really want someone. There's room for what, maybe 3-4 draft picks to make the Niners roster this year?

Niners haven't drafted 11 players since the 2016 draft.
BTW, I know that Lynch/Shanahan has caught some grief for less-than-stellar drafts. They've drafted 49 players since they arrived in 2017, and 42 of the 49 made a 2022 NFL roster, including all of the players from the last three drafts.
Not on an NFL roster are (2019) Jalen Hurd, Kaden Smith and Tim Harris; (2018) Richie James (#240 pick overall), and (2017) Reuben Foster, Joe Williams and Pita Taumoepenu. Of those seven no longer on a roster, three were sixth round picks and one was a 7th rounder.

SF will have 10 choices in the 2023 draft. 3 in the third, 3 in the fifth, 1 in the sixth and 3 in the 7th.
Also, Richie James plays for the Giants. He saw a lot of action this year….

You're right, I was thinking of Jullian Taylor, who played six games each in 2018 and 2019, and was selected seven spots in front of James.

Right, they've had a slightly alarming number of underperforming early picks; e.g., Jackson, Davis-Price, Gray, Sermon, Kinlaw, Pettis, Thomas, Foster, Beathard and Williams. All (except Williams) chosen third round or earlier. Most are still on NFL rosters, but all underperformed.

At this time last year, you would have liked typed "Banks" there too. Some guys take longer to develop than others. Hard to be very optimistic about Kinlaw, but after the Niners don't pick up his 5th year option, it's possible we could see some renewed motivation and better production out of him.
Pettis is still on an NFL roster. So too is Solomon Thomas. NFL rosters have former Niners draft picks all over them.
