I think that was the last year we were in the tournament. Our last game, 10 seed Stanford lost to 11 seed Dayton. . . .

I believe Stanford's last Tournament win was a big one - the 2014 upset of #2 seed and Andrew Wiggins led Kansas. Josh Huestis and Chasson Randle looked good in a 70-67 win that sent Stanford to the Sweet 16.
If we've had a tournament win since then I'm forgetting it! In fact 2014 was probably our last NCAA appearance.

Princeton up by 1 with 0:50 to go. All the more remarkable considering they are 4-25 from three.

30 years after #15 seed Santa Clara beats #2 seed Arizona, another #15 seed, Princeton beat Arizona.
That day, Mrs. Mick and Toddler Mick went shopping, while I stayed to watch Arizona and their NBA-bound starters (Chris Mills, Khalid Reeves, Damon Stoudamire, Ed Stokes, Ray Owes) in what I thought would be a beat down. Instead, SCU went out to a 12 point lead in the first half. Arizona then went on a 24-0 run bisecting the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half...but SCU, led by frosh PG Steve Nash, who didn't start but played 30 minutes, cut the deficit and tied the game with just a few minutes left in the game.
Right at that moment, Mrs. Mick and ToddlerMick returned, and daddy was going just a wee bit crazy at the potential upset, and Toddler Mick started to cry and Mrs. Mick gave me that how-old-are-you-anyway look. And SCU beat Arizona 64-61.
And 30 years later, Toddler Mick's #15 seed alma mater Princeton beat #2 seed Arizona, 59-55.
Not good for the Pac 12, and Princeton is unlikely to advance against Missouri, which beat Utah State handily. Still...much fun.

14 first round losses in 1977, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1992, 1993, 1995, 1999, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2016, 2018, 2023.
I wonder if that's a record? Kentucky has been in the NCAA tournament a record sixty times...they've only lost in the first round twice. North Carolina's been in 47 times, they've only lost in the first round four times. UCLA has been in the fourth most times (50), but they've only lost in the first round six times.
