TreeCast w/Thomas Eager - troyc - 06-14-2023

Stanford Baseball is heading back to Omaha, so a great time to break out a special TreeCast!

Special guest is Stanford pitching coach Thomas Eager, who shares his thoughts on how to handle a pitching staff through an elimination bracket, his initial read of what awaits at the Men's College World Series, his assessment of the pitching staff right now, and what he made of Quinn Mathews' 156-pitch night against Texas (and the national debate it sparked).

Link below. Check it out! Thank you for listening. Go Stanford.

Thanks Troy. As someone who's been critical of Eager, I appreciated hearing his perspective.

Very neat anecdote about the stirrups.

Awesome episode—nice touch starting with Esky’s 2020 quote! And I thought I heard a reference to a CardBoard post about naming the mound after Mathews? Thanks for doing this!

Thank you! Much appreciated. Eager was fascinating, I thought...really glad he could carve out the time for the show. Let's see if he & Esquer can keep pushing the right buttons in Omaha.

Great interview Troy.  I hope you do some more WVB games this season.  You are my favorite.
