This contains an interesting dig at the University Presidents - plural, but almost certainly including MTL. "There's a lot of culpability on those desks..." Just after the 3-minute mark.

To think Texas and OU could have been a part of this.

They definitely would have prevented this, no?

Perhaps a Pac-16 with Texas and OU would still have been vulnerable to poaching. My guess is that those two plus USC would have gone together to the SEC. The biggest difference for us might have been ending up in a conference that looks a lot like the new BigXII.

I feel like the Texas/OU media rights would have been valuable enough to bring networks to the table for a reasonable Pac-16 contract. Sigh, what could have been.

From the skipper who refused to navigate by those rules until his ship was being shredded on the shoals he navigated into before he abandoned ship. You know, the rules by which everyone else was navigating. Reminds me of the self-deprecating comment by Jerry Brown years ago: "I might learn slow but I learn good."

He's had time to remove himself from the bubble. I think that does bring a lot of perspective into play. And if he understands the criticisms now, then he may have some hard regrets.

"David Shaw reveals that Stanford got caught sitting and waiting in conference realignment" is the title of the article?
News flash: Shaw was one of the last to realize that Stanford was caught sitting and waiting, he hasn't revealed anything. He did admit that there were bombs going off, and "we all saw what was happening", yet nobody did anything, not Larry Scott or the University Presidents. Interestingly, no mention of the ADs or the coaches and their failure to sound the alarm that the ship was sinking.

Maybe they did sound the alarm because they were too busy punching holes in hull.
