Other games - JohnR34231 - 09-09-2023

What happened to Coach Prime's unstoppable offense?
With four minutes left to go in the second quarter, the Buffs have put up no points and 70 yards total offense. (Oops they just got a field goal resulting from a turnover).
Colorado leads 3-0 as the Nebraska offense hasn't done much either.

Impressed with how Utah is overcoming not having a QB to tie Baylor late.

Baylor just threw a pick.  Utah is in business to win this game after a miserable first three quarters.

Colorado had a truly slow start; but it appears as if Nebraska was intent on losing this game and gifted the ball to the Buffs a total of 4 times.  With short fields, the Buffs got things rolling late.  36-7 Colorado with 5 minutes to play.

Shedeur has now thrown for nearly 400 yards so he has made up for the slow start.
Also, the Utes pull it out. Can they keep winning without Rising?

RE: Other games - Austroturf - 09-09-2023

Clemson is up 24-17 vs. Charleston Southern at the half (yes, those Buccaneers!).  Swinney and the Tigers have yet to convince.

Doubt Colorado at your own risk.  Coach Prime has assembled a superb coaching staff and brought in a group of players who can play.  Line play (on both sides) will determine how far the Buffs can go……

Having watched the early part of the game, I could see that pressure on Shedeur is the key to neutralizing the CU offensive threat.  For a while, Nebraska did this very well and, with a strong run game, had the CU defense on their heels.  But offensive turnovers ultimately did them in: the Cornhusker defense was on the field too long, Shedeur got going, and the Buffs romped.

In my view, a strong defensive team with an effective pass rush (and without the turnovers) could pose serious problems for the Buffs.

Meanwhile, Nugent and Hinton start on OL for Mich which leads Nevada 21-0 at half. How could that be? Hinton was kicked around on this board. To his credit, he stuck it out for 3 years.

OK, Clemson finally got going.  66-17 over Charleston Southern with 42 second half points.  The Buccaneers were shut out.

Well... Like Stanford?  On Oct. 13 in Boulder.

FWIW Myles Hinton was moved to #2 on the depth chart behind Trente Jones. Obviously this isn't a "forever" situation but clearly indicates Hinton has not cemented a starting role. Drake Nugent remained the starting center.

“What a great play by ___ a transfer from ____.”

 College football 2023.

RE: Other games - OutsiderFan - 09-09-2023

Imagine how the Cougs feel. They look like the better team than Wisconsin, and being relegated to a league that pays less than Wisconsin will get by like a factor of 10.

Badgers 6
Cougars 17 mid-3rd

And #18 Oregon State has won their two games by a collective score of 97-24.

“What a great play by ___ a transfer from ____.”

 College football 2023.

I remember one announcer starting to refer to a player as a transfer and then saying something like hey, they are all transfers.

Yeah, it’s disgusting.
