Only watched spurts. Seemed like Spencer Jones was feeling better today.
Looking forward to reading any insights that others may have had/heard.

Watched on tv. Solid win. Should win over Sac State but as we found out in football, it’s no call walk.
Very nice guard play. Bynum, transfer from Providence , gave us best guard play I’ve seen from us in a long time. Our 7’ Frenchman has put on some muscle and plays a much more controllled game. He is very good.
Should be a fun team to watch. Ought to be competitive in a tough conference.

Great win for the Card guys tonight
Really played well
Yes they’ll soon face tougher opponents
But tonight set a new better standard, improved over the CSUN game, that this team can play really well together

Yes it does, and it helps when your point guards have 17 assists and 1 turn over, or at least something like that. Defense was much better in the second half. We have a lot of depth and can probably keep the main guys reasonably rested. Last year we scored 88 in the first game of the year and never hit 70 there after. This years team is going to score, if it hustles and plays defense like the second half good things can happen.

Spencer was hurt while on the floor battling for a loose ball. Went out and never returned I saw him with some type of wrap on his right forearm.
Carlyle still not in uniform and sat on the bench. Keefe and Agarwal played. Thompson and Yuan played the last 30 seconds.
I like Bynum. Defenses can't sag on him. He'll also drive to the rim...that will make a big difference down the road.
Our forwards are good at backing down their defenders and shooting a short bank shot for the points.

We were surprised. It was actually entertaining.

He had a wrap or tape on in the 1st game and also seemed to bang it up. Figured that was the cause of his poor shooting the other day. Was glad to see him making shots in the snippets that I saw in the 1st half and in the box score. Did he get banged up in the second half?

Hard to make really firm conclusions after only 2 games
And not yet against top opponents
But so far looking good
Raynaud seems yet more improved, with a really good all around game including more imposing on defense
Angel seems much improved, with some determined and aggressive play in the paint
Backup point guard Gealer seems like a totally different player from last year and vastly better
Stojakovic looked horrible 1st game but better 2nd. Still kinda wild and makes rookie dumb mistakes but he’s really quick and deceptive and the talent is visible if can be harnessed better
Jared Bynum is all could have asked for, maybe him and Raynaud tog are key parts of driving this team forward
