OT: Iowa - lex24 - 11-13-2023

Kind of an “amazing” program.  They may be the most boring over .500 team in the Power  5.  Their offense is something out of the middle ages.  They never have a good QB.  Yet, here they are again 8-2 and again in the drivers seat to have the honor of getting destroyed by Michigan or OSU in the Big 14 Championship.  

They play great defense.  Are generally strong up front.  And have good TE’s.  A program right out of the 70’s.

Does Iowa's consistent W/L record speak to the relative weakness of the B1G conference as a whole?

especially the relative weakness of the B1G west the last few years given Iowa gets to play Nebraska, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and Purdue....this year against the B1G east they are 2-1 with wins over MSU and Rutgers and a loss to Penn State.  OOC they are 3-0 with wins over Utah State, Iowa State, and Western Michigan

Yeah the Big14 West is pretty week. Especially when Wisconsin is down.

Can't speak to the aesthetics of the last 7 days but the Big14 West is definitely WEAK. ;) 

Interestingly 3 of Stanford's 4 modern Rose Bowls have been against Western teams (Wisconsin 2000 (L), Wisconsin 2013 (W),  Michigan State 2014 (L), Iowa 2016 (W))
