Big Game preview thread -

Here's a thread to dump whatever news articles/analyses there are for the 2023 Big Game!
Presser: I only had time to listen to the first bit of TT's presser today, but he says Daniels is day to day (so too is Scottie Edwards). AK Gilman is a "we'll see." Filkins is out.
Data on playing fast: Some guy put together a spreadsheet showing plays per minute, and Kal ranks 14th nationally in this stat at 2.57 plays per minute (Colorado is the only Stanford opponent playing faster at 2.58 plays per minute). Stanford is playing at a rate of 2.22 plays per minute, which ranks 71st nationally, fwiw.

I found Coach TT's presser today kind of depressing and boring and so I didn't even finish it. Sorry Coach. I think Coach's tight lipped response near the beginning, to the question about injuries, set me off on a bad tone. I came away thinking very unlikely that any of the 4 key guys will play vs CAL, though that's not what Coach said. Then it got worse when Coach praised Filkens as best RB on team while being out for rest of season, and then even worse when asked about QB's and he reiterated that Lamson is "the guy" if Daniels is out. His "if" to me sounded too close to a "when". I came away thinking that CAL might kick our derrieres in the Big Game which would leave a sour taste near the end of this roller-coaster-with-more-downs-than-ups season. Anyway, I hope I'm wrong and I'm hoping for the best for Coach and team. Go Card!
