Utah down 39-33 at half at Baylor. Tough man to man on perimeter from Baylor. Pili picked up 2 offensive fouls in 1st 2 minutes - sat rest of half. and Lynn Roberts broke ger arm bike riding last week

Tied 56-56 after 3 quarters. Kaitlyn Chen, a senior point guard from California, is amazing. She has 17 points through 3. Did we recruit her?
So much fun to watch Princeton, which actually runs the Princeton! Betts is keeping UCLA in it just because she can receive lobs over the undersized Princeton players down low.
Princeton has tied it up repeatedly in the fourth, and even led by two, but with under a minute they are now behind by 4. Osborne has been driving to the basket and picking up fouls to move UCLA ahead.

UCLA wins by 3 at the end, but Princeton had a chance to tie it up. UCLA does not, at this point in the season, look like a dominant team. Princeton looks fantastic but simply lacked the size.

12 fouls called in the last 3 minutes of the game. Yes, 12. Only 1 was intentional. Many of them, I'd say 5 or 6, could have been no calls. Especially in womens basketball, the refs have to let them play. It ruins the flow. Just like in any sport, the refs' job is to administer a fair game, not to look for technicalities. They seem to be infatuated with the moving screen call. They called 3 moving screen violations in a 90 second span at the end of the game. On every one of them, the defender fell down, begging for the call. The announcers even said the screeners have to learn to fall down too to counteract the defender falling (great, that would really enhance play. Not.) In the Stanford game yesterday, the defender ran into Cam's hip and just fell down and they called a moving screen foul on Cam. She was just standing there. Even if it can be debated if the screener "slightly moved", what's the point?
That said, Princeton played great. Tons of talent on UCLA, but jury is still out.

1 week from tonight UConn vs UCLA. That will be a test for both teams. UCLA has Florida State and Ohio State on the nonconference schedule still. We will know more a month from now if they’re real contenders.

Yes UCLA vs UConn will be very interesting. It could be a close win for UCLA where their size and offensive rebounding just overwhelms UConn’s front court. Or I could also see UConn winning by 20 where their guards just consistently drive past the UCLA bigs.

I will be cheering *cough* *cough* for UConn. (That is so painful to say.) But I have sworn to hope for the worst possible outcomes in every sport for the Pac 12's two original traitor schools. Nothing personal about the coach or the players at UCLA. I will give UCLA one benefit of the doubt: I will cheer for them when they play against USC. USC was scum even before they became
traitorous scum.
Furthermore, in most years, I prefer UConn's style of play to UCLA's. But that would be icing on the cake.

I am interested to see if UConn fast breaks on Betts and who they use to double her. She didn't show a lot of instinct for passing out of the double last year.

Just looked at the score. Oregon down 81-44 at HOME to Santa Clara. Oh my goodness. They look bad. Oregon could be in the cellar of the Pac12 standings this season. I'm not a Kelly Graves fan but their program seems to have fallen very quickly after the Ionescu years. All the players they've had transfer out the past 3 years is telling that something is off there.
