OT?: Cougs-Buffs - Nan3cy - 11-18-2023

The game in Pullman is kind of fascinating, in a little-boys-tearing-wings-off-flies kind of way. With a minute to go, WSU is up 56-14. So they’re still in the hunt for a bowl game. Colorado isn’t. I started to watch in the third quarter, with WSU already up 42-7 — I guess just because I wanted to see what would happen between two of the three teams Stanford has beaten this year. Right now all I can think is, how in the world did the Card hold WSU to 7 points?? It was a real fumble-fest, but there were some beautiful plays too.

Colorado sure got an enormous amount of hype this year for a team that's going to end up 4-8.

Those fancy sunglasses don't seem to be doing Sanders much good...works for me!

Happy the Cougs won.

Meanwhile, Vegas had their win total over-under at 3.5. They knew.

(They had ours at 2.5, and seem to have also nailed that.)

Are they peril-sensitive?

Maybe they have a chance against Utah. Arizona went up 21-0 over the Utes 11 minutes into the game.

Fifita has had an *amazing* freshman season -- all 5-11 of him.

Stanford should get an "assist", as DeLaura would never have lost his job had he not been injured. Clearly, DeLaura had kind of "lost it", but I doubt he would have been replaced otherwise. There were actually quite a few people who believed Fifita was better all along. He is just so small you fear for his safety. Anu Solomon was much bigger but basically got beaten up so bad at Arizona he had to quit the sport.  He was great initially, but it took a toll. One hopes Fifita will fare better.

Right after the Stanford-Arizona game, you called it, Goose! Fifita playing much, much better than DeLaura, now one of the top QBs in the Pac.
