Santa Clara takes down the Zags! Congrats!

Lots of upsets this season in college basketball. Fun!

:D  Noticed that did you? SCU was 0-26 vs. Gonzaga since 2011. It wasn't quite this...

But it sure was this...

And of course it's the one game when this guy shows up...

I shouldn't get too excited. Gonzaga's only ranked #24. I got more excited when Stanford was in the Sweet Sixteen in 2013, which...come to think of it...was almost as long.

Fire Haase...

Before this season, I'm 100% agreed. Early into this season after losing 3 in a row the last to Northern Iowa, I'm 100% agreed.
But now, 4-2 into conference play, I'm morbidly curious to see if he can pull off a Santa Clara/USA Men's Hockey miracle.

Stanford has had two nice wins recently over Utah and Arizona. Hopefully they keep it up. If they do, I don't think Muir will let Haase go. Haase has only won twenty games once. He has a losing record in three of his seasons, a .500 season, a 14-13 season. His second season (NIT Second round) and fourth season (20-12) were his best. He was 14-19 last year, 9-7 today. Dawkins was 156-115, and got to the Sweet Sixteen once. Trent Johnson went to the NCAA's 3 of 4 years and finished 80-48. And we all know that Monty (393-167) was a perfect fit, going out on a 30-2 team that made it to the NCAA's second round...which Monty did seven times, including five of his last six.

Personally, I think if Haase doesn't get to the NCAA's second round or better, he should be fired. He's shown nothing. I had a close up view of the SCU vs. Stanford game...Stanford had considerably better athletes and better basketball players, I thought. They should have won. That's on the coach, to me.

Hear you and agree.
I had a big chuckle and groan when it was one of the more recent games we lost, not sure if SCU, I think was after that,
where the announcers made an offhand comment that Stanford looked to have the better players and yet was losing.
