2024 ACC Football Schedule Announcement - chrisk - 01-19-2024

1/22 First Week
1/23 Thursday and Friday games
1/24 All game dates on ACC Network

Times 1pm PST 1/22 and 1/23 / 2pm on 1/24 PST

I'd also guess @Cal on Nov 23

so five four eastern time zone games between Sept 14 and Nov 16 if the Cal game is Nov 23

which would be great, and if it happens hopefully they can stay the week between games in the eastern time zone.

The SMU game will be at Stanford this year.

Stanford will be playing 3 games on the East Coast plus 1 more ET game 15 miles from CT zone.

Note that the 1/24 schedule reveal will be simulcast on ESPN2 at 2pm PT (2-hour show).

Very true, however just being in Syracuse during the winter can be a bit of a challenge :-). I have been known to go for a walk in substantially sub-freezing temperatures just because I couldn't stand being inside all the time. It isn't too bad if there is no wind. The snow stays put and the roads are usually plowed (more or less). That said, this year Syracuse has had a relatively mild winter. Today the high is forecast at 15 degrees and no snow until evening. Wind is 11 mph. Nothing like Buffalo.

Spent 6 years in Syracuse, three of which were allegedly the snowiest on record. The amount of snow was very exaggerated--"three feet" of snow there and it may be knee deep; three feet in the Sierras and you can't find your car. The cold was not fun, but it was the grey that was tough. One February, we had 15 minutes of sunshine the entire month.

I think I got cabin fever. . . ."

I thought the question was a reference to this NFL press conference where a reporter asked TB how the weather in Detroit would affect the game and the coach graciously pointed out that Detroit plays indoors. Guess not.

Duke is playing Elon that same Friday. I'd bet on both games being on ACCN, with the Duke game at 7:00 Eastern and the Stanford game being at 10:30 or 11:00 Eastern, meaning 7:30 or 8:00 Pacific.

The only P4 vs. P4 matchup of the night? On ACCN? I doubt it - it'll be on ESPN/ESPN2.

A game between 2 Power 5 schools that weekend should warrant being put on ESPN2 or ESPNU

10 of the 16 ACC games in Week 1 involve non-Power 5 teams. Thursday has a game with the Big 10. Saturday has 3 ACC/SEC matchups. Monday has a BC at FSU conference game.
