Cam and Kiki are Nominated for National Awards - VOTE! -
WBB fan - 02-15-2024
It's way down at the bottom of the Fastbreak Club page, but there's a link -- Both Cam and Kiki are nominated for the national Naismith Starting Five fan awards for their positions. You can vote once a day. Please join me in doing so! We carried the day for Lexie several years ago. Let's help Cam and Kiki now.

Note that you have to pick one of the listed women in each of 5 categories.
(Iriafen is in the Power Forward category; Brink is in the Center category.)
I didn't have any real preference in one category. Who are others voting on?

As a matter of principle, I'm voting for Pac-12 reps in all the other three categories, including Sherrard for pg, though it means that I don't vote for Clark, which is absurd not to. And Leger-Walker for shooting guard, a sentimental rather than sensible choice. I don't have a real choice or knowledge of the players for small forward, so have gone for Forbes as Pac-12 rep.

Funny, I went through the same thought process and came out with the same two votes. Both have provided the highest quality opposition over the years and I've enjoyed watching both, even though they have throttled Stanford from time to time. I feel particularly bad for Legler-Walker and her ACL, just as I do for Kneepkens and her foot injuries. When she is healthy, she may be my favorite opponent to watch.

I'm planning to vary my non-Stanford votes from day to day. The first day I picked the frosh who got away, Hidalgo and Watkins, as they've been impressive. Plus someone from Marquette whom I know nothing about, just because I did my undergrad there.
