I volunteer to be the new commissioner of the Pac-2. Qualifications: I can't possibly screw it up as badly as the previous guy.

A certain Teresa Gould has been selected to take over for Kliavkoff next Friday:

According to this article she has served in the athletic department at Cal. Anyone here know anything more about Gould? Any way she can influence the operations of the Pac-12 in its last several months as a power conference, as it prepares to drift into the stardust?

She is the wife of longtime Cal and Stanford coach, Ron Gould. She served in both the Cal and UC Davis athletic departments for many years (as the Deputy AD, with responsibility for the women's programs, at Cal and Interim AD at Davis) and as the Associate Commissioner of the WCC. She is a national leader regarding issues related to Title IX.

I think the hope is that she'll grow the conference. I hope she has a really good contract, as I expect she's probably getting paid a lot less than her predecessors though she has a much more difficult job.
