Filmmaker and director Roger Corman, '47, has died. - Giants - 05-12-2024

Roger Corman, 98, died last Thursday.  We cannot allow his passing to occur without an acknowledgement of the debt my generation owes him for his vast filmography.  Countless Saturdays in the late 50’s and early 60’s were spent at the Alameda Theatre watching a double feature of movies produced and/or directed by Corman, including the memorable Edger Allan Poe series, starring Vincent Price.

Reading his obituary was like reading a slice of the history of the film industry.

A life well lived…….
