Hate to say it, but Kal Twitter is killing it -

Credit where it's due: Their burner accounts have taken the memes up a notch since the Auburn win and are now heading into the FSU game this weekend. National media like Stu Mandel, Nicole Auerbach, and Jessica Smetana are starting to take notice, too.
We need an unhinged Card-Hive to keep up the meme magic arms race.

I think what the post means is that if you are a crappy program that wins a single game against a middling opponent, you should behave like you just won the national championship.
Rule of thumb - win something important before you start crowing. Otherwise, you look like a damn fool.

Actually, I'm with the OP here. It's funny. Go on Twitter and search "Cal Twitter" or "Cal FSU". You will see a barrage of tweets from many different burner and real accounts, all around a common theme.
The hyperbolic joke is that Cal is "woke" and Auburn/FSU are not. Sometimes the joke is presented the other way around to trigger presumably closed-minded Southerners, and these FSU and Auburn fans often take the bait in the comments, thinking it's a serious post.
Cal Twitter loves Marxism, Critical Race Theory, Harris/Walz, rainbow flags, colonizing "Calahassee", and renaming local Florida and Georgia schools to "Karl Marx Academy" and "Wilcox Elementary".

Quote:Cal Twitter, loving the memes, but we also must respect our opponent for its social justice advocacy.
Florida State is currently in the midst of a ten month peaceful protest against playing football.
FSU is the most woke program in college sports and we have so much to learn.

They got one joke, but because they upset Auburn it's landing at least with some college football fans.
Gross that there are several people on here trying to give cal credit for something.

To paraphrase @drill (from Twitter): issuing correction on a previous post of mine, regarding cal. you do not, under any circumstances, "gotta hand it to them"

Let’s “ hand it to them” in November!

As someone who was raised in a Stanford home and thus abhorred all things related to Cal for nearly all of my life, I admit that Cal Football Twitter is the best thing going this season.

Whether it's other fanbases taunting Cal's opponents or Cal fans themselves poking fun at the stereotypes, I've really enjoyed the tweets.
A couple of my favorites:
"War Eagle? Sorry, it's now the Peace, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Eagle"
"California Man is coming and he's bringing pronouns"
And also this image:
