FB -- Other Games Week 9 -
martyup - 10-23-2024
Here are some upcoming weekday games that should be interesting:
Syracuse (5-1, 2-1 ACC) vs
Pittsburg (6-0, 2-0 ACC) -- Thursday at 4:30 PM PST on ESPN
Louisville (4-3, 2-2 ACC) vs
Boston College (4-3, 1-2 ACC) -- Friday at 4:30 PM PST on ESPN2
#17
Boise State (5-1, 2-0 Mountain West) vs
UNLV (6-1, 2-0 Mountain West) -- Friday at 7:30 PM PST on CBSSN. Bronco's running back Jeanty is amazing and might just win the Voldemort.
Rutgers (4-3, 1-3 Big Ten) vs
USC (3-4, 1-4 Big Ten) -- Friday at 8:00 PM PST on FOX. How sweet it would be to see the traitorous Toejams go down to the Scarlet Knights?

Kennesaw State, 0-6 this morning, had 5-0 Liberty in town, and were four-touchdown underdogs. Kennesaw State won the game. Liberty went undefeated in the regular season last year and had longshot playoff designs, which are now over.

Pitt leads Syracuse 31-0 with 1:12 to play in the first half. Pitt has 3 pick sixes already in this game. Weirdly, Pitt has 83 total yards to Syracuse's 123 yards.

Pitt ended up with 5 interceptions of McCord. Final score 41-13.
How sweet it would be to see Navy beat ND?

Very sweet. And no longer that rare. Navy beat Notre Dame in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2016.
Prior to 2007, however, Navy beat Notre Dame just once in 45 years, in fact, they slaughtered Notre Dame, 35-14.
Can you name Navy's quarterback in that game?

I'll guess Roger Staubach

Looks bad for the Midshipmen. They trail 31-7 at the half. Stinkin' Irish.

Yep, Navy picked a bad day to have a bed day. Turned the ball over three times in the first half.

Not that it's any great consolation, but out of the other five teams to beat Stanford this year, all but Clemson were in action, and they all won their games this week, and the teams they beat going into today had a combined record of 22-6.

It's not of any consolation to me, but this is the main reason why TT is--absent a player revolt--going to get a third year.
