Would you like that schedule or no schedule?

We don't have enough to complain about here that we have to make things up?

True talk here … It’s just too soon.

We all understand WHY we have unappealing schedules but it’s too soon to put on a happy face and pretend we’re “on board”. Maybe we’ll someday embrace our new rivalries with Syracuse and SMU.… but I can’t muster any sort of smile yet.

To most fans and in most sports the ACC exchange has been an evident disaster that we’re continuously counseled to embrace. But it’s damn hard to smile while eating a S$&t sandwich.

Hope USC football is enjoying their added TV dollars.

Picking up most of the ACC that Stanford missed this year. The big question is who will be the 12th game and 6th home game - Notre Dame or some other school?

Further to many discussions on the board for some time, and given where we are now, I think of this recent past journey with a 1700's sailing analogy.
Consider 12 sailing ships of the armada of her majesty Pacifica-of-the-Coast. Sailing in unison and with common destination.
The weather turns foul, and after some buffeting, 2 ships flying "City of Angels" banners, without warning abandon the armada and sail off in the opposite direction.
The armada starts to descend into chaos as the weather grows far worse, as it becomes a serious and life-threatening storm.
Other ships begin to separate and veer off in other directions.
Going further the storm is now a perilous gale and we are remaining really only close together with our closest consort ship flying an "Oski" banner.
It becomes apparent we are almost without steerage, and are heading straight for a catastrophic wreck on the treacherous rocks of an unforgiving shore.
First officer Rice, in a tremendous achievement of resolute intensity, springs into action, and manages miraculously to steer our ship, with our consort in close accompaniment, instead towards a shallow beach in a sheltered cove, where the ship runs aground, but all souls are saved and the ship remains intact.
We survived!
The violent storm now being over, we are exploring the region, our new home, on which we've landed, assessing what ship repairs are needed, and not being sure if this will be our new permanent home, considering if and when we might relaunch the ship to set off for a new destination.

ND does have one game to fill…

Huh? Dude, you can't MAKE THIS UP. Dark humor is all we got. And I don't mean Dave Chappelle.

Hmm. Yeah, we could use another shellacking. At home, of course.

That TBD Scott Stadium visit means "visiting son and daughter-in-law at some indeterminant time this fall."  Should be fun. Hoping for peak fall.

Five of those teams are really good now and if FSU bounces back, six of those teams are the real deal. Boston College and Carolina can be real any given year too. But sure, wish we were playing Wazzou.... Lots of fun.

Our hole is the Thanksgiving weekend home game that notre dame usually plays in. And that is their opening. I'd rather play a near guarantee win game but seems like this makes the most sense
