Travis Hunter of Colorado named winner of the H award.  Please help me understand this selection, 'cuz I just don't get it.

After having watched a number of Colorado games this year, I am surprised Hunter didn’t receive more votes.  He was easily the best college footballer in 2024.  He played 84% of all snaps (1356) from scrimmage for the Buffs and was a superb receiver (92 receptions, 1152 yards and 14 TD’s) and a phenomenal DB (he only allowed 1 TD pass all season).  No one came close to equally that kind of production.  

He is a unique talent who deserves all the accolades that he has received.  I look forward to seeing him play in the NFL.

- Which H award recipient received the most first place votes in history? OJ Simpson with 855 (they reduced the number of voters after 1968).
- What's the highest an OL ever finished for the H award? Three times an OL finished 2nd:
   - John Hicks of tOSU (1973)
   - Tom Brown of Minnesota (1960)
   - Kurt Burris of Oklahoma (1954)
- Other high Stanford finish is Bill McColl, DE, 4th (1951)
