The Ivy League has decided to send its champion to the FCS playoffs starting in 2025.
Never could figure out why they didn't do it in football, as they let their teams do it in other sports, including basketball and baseball.

Since 1945, the Ivy League banned both football athletic scholarships and prohibited any kind of postseason play, so Ivy teams were ineligible for Bowl games.
Four of the Ivies played in Bowl games before the ban. Brown lost the second Rose Bowl ever, the 1916 Rose Bowl to Washington State. Penn lost the 1917 Rose Bowl to Oregon. Harvard won the 1919 Rose Bowl over Oregon. Columbia won the 1933 Rose Bowl against Stanford, which was the last postseason appearance for an Ivy football team.
Princeton, Yale, Dartmouth, and Cornell never played in a Bowl game.
The ban was originally football-specific, and in 1954 they amended the Ivy Group Agreement to cover all intercollegiate sports. Incidentally, this is technically the founding date of the Ivy League itself, effective for the 1956-57 season. Not sure why basketball wasn't affected. Men's Ivy League basketball teams have played in March Madness since 1941.

Well, they did go undefeated in 1968, and managed to tie Yale, who had three HS All-Americans (including Calvin Hill, yes, that Calvin Hill) on offense.
But, yeah, I don't expect the Ivy League to do too much once they get to the playoffs.

I sat through the first quarter of a Princeton game. The WR ran a flat route...two steps and sprint to the sideline. The WR was about 15 yards from the QB, who threw the ball 10 yards into the ground. Not very entertaining.

Well, I saw our QB do exactly the same thing last year against Arizona. To be fair, the next time that pattern was run our (different) QB threw it about 10 yards over the (wide-open) receivers head, so it averaged out.

They probably want a locker room leader (mature presence) and maybe a download of how Stanford does things. Or maybe he's connected to one of the Auburn coaches somehow. Maybe he's only getting a partial scholarship.

He will be their Lamson and run the wildcat occasionally. Worst case, if their other transfer QB gets hurt Daniels can temporarily function as QB1 without making their other two young guys too mad. He also presumably knows a bit about how to practice and prepare for games. That will undoubtedly help. He will be a grad transfer, and I doubt the scholarship money is an issue.
