On a separate note, is anyone actually commenting on the game? Through a bit over a quarter, we are tied at 24, which is much better than I expected. Also, wasn't Notre Dame with Anna Hidalgo supposed to be at the top of the ACC? They are 5-5 in conference, which is a bit surprising given the talent, even after losing Olivia Miles to the portal. Hidalgo, Prosper, are first tier recruits who we tried to get.

Eschmeyer three as time expires in the first half pulls Stanford to within 2, 32-30.
Ogden with 12 points and 7 rebounds at the half, Eschmeyer with 9 points and 3 boards. Somfai is 0/4 shooting, but has 6 rebounds.
On the other side, it's Hidalgo playing Heroball; she has 18 out of Notre Dame's 32 points and has taken just under half of Notre Dame's shots.

nd is the latest to defend us w a zone. i don’t see how our constant soft screens at the 3 pt line are supposed to work against a zone

We knew we were going to have to stop Hildago to win the game.
She has 18 of their 32 points.

Alternative strategy: accept that it will be impossible to fully stop Hidalgo but make sure the rest of the team doesn't beat you.

Didn't we try that strategy against U$C a couple of years ago? Didn't work too well as I recall. (Of course we tried the other strategy next time we played them and that didn;t work either).
