Fernando Mendoza walks at Haas MBA commencement - Vandelay - 05-26-2026

Despite only having earned (supposedly) his undergraduate degree in his three years at Cal.  I am surprised they allowed this.  Do they not understand that he left Cal to go play at Indiana?  Have some pride!

I forgot that he also sat out of Cal's bowl game in 2024 because he was planning to transfer.  But go Bears.  I guess celebrity is more important than loyalty.

I mean, good on kal for getting some press and currying good relations with their most recently relevant CFB alum.  I don't think it costs them anything, and maybe they learned from the sad sight of Aaron Rodgers naming Butte Community College as his alma mater on NFL introduction broadcasts.  Will Mendoza claim Indiana or kal as his alma mater?  We'll see soon.

For NFL introductions it will be Indiana.  For business dealings it will be Cal.  He's going to leverage both.
